When the second-ranking Koch brother, David, took the stage at the Brooklyn Academy of Music to discuss his support for the Nutcracker, he was booed. Not for his taste in ballet. David is the co-funder of Beltway “libertarianism,” regime Tea Partyism, the Republican party, etc.

The people at have long had a rather bizarre obsession, bordering on derangement, with the Koch brothers. Apparently now they’ve convinced themselves David Koch is a vampire or something, if he was around to co-found the Republican Party in 1854!

People who make movies and TV shows seem to think that handheld radios will work through any amount of stone, dirt, or metal, and with no more than minimal interference. You’d think that at some point they’d have noticed that their cell phones don’t work in certain conditions.

Man Sues Neighbor For Not Turning Off His Wi-Fi. Scyth3 writes “A man is suing his neighbor for not turning off his cell phone or wireless router. He claims it affects his ‘electromagnetic allergies’, and has resorted to being homeless. So, why doesn’t he check into a hotel? Because hotels typically have wireless internet for free. I wonder if a tinfoil hat would help his cause?”

“Electromagnetic allergies?” I guess that means his allergies send out radio signals…

US officials flunk test of American history, economics, civics. 33-question quiz here []

Their average score on the civic literacy test is 44%, compared to 49% for those who have not held an elected office.

I got 97%, missing one due to carelessness. Clearly I’m totally unqualified for an elected office in the Evil Empire.
