“It was like hunting … like being given a prize. I couldn’t believe it when I saw the soldiers,” he said. “The Israelis knew that any soldier who went into the camp like that was going to get killed.”
If the Palestinians had been fighting Americans, they would have gotten bombs and artillery. The whole city would have been flattened without any loss of American life–but with much higher civilian casualties. The Israelis took heavy casualties in order to protect the lives of people who hate them, and as thanks for their efforts they are condemned by the “international community.”
